Blog 7: Favorite TV show/ Series

Hello everyone In this blog I will talk about an anime that I started watching in May of this year. Its name is Hunter x Hunter, it's a manga written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. It is about two friends who become hunters and have different adventures. An interesting aspect is that hunters use a technique called Nen, which is a way to manage the aura, and it is unique to each person. Throughout the story, the main characters get to know themselves better, so that they can make better use of their Nen. Something I really like is the friendship that exists between the two main characters; Gon and Killua. They meet at the hunter's exam and from that moment they spend all the episodes together. They have an unconditional and very sincere friendship, which transcends all the complications they have throughout the story. As a viewer, I know they will never betray each other (but I haven't finished the anime yet ahaha). The relationship between the characters in...

Blog 6: Post Graduate Studies

Hello everyone!!! The idea of this blog is to comment about what I would like to study after I finish the university. It makes me very anxious to think that I would have to choose another area that I would like to study. But I am very sure that I would like to continue studying all my life. At the moment, I really like clinical psychology, specifically systemic therapy. This style of therapy is oriented to the relationships that the person has, it observes the ways in which the patient develops. I would definitely like to do get a master’s degree in this area. Another thing I definitely want to integrate into my life is feminism. I would like it to be present in every aspect of my life, especially academically. Getting a master’s degree on feminism in Chile is very scarce, so I would definitely have to go abroad to study it. I am still not sure which country to go to, but I am very interested in Germany, Argentina, and Spain. Also, I would like to take a course in sign language to...

My future job

Hello everyone, in this blog I will talk about the job I hope to have in the future. To be honest, I'm not sure what job I would like to have, but I have a few things clear that I would like to incorporate into my future. Feminism is something I want to integrate into any job I have in the future, I want to have a gender perspective in my daily activities. The feminist movement has been very important in the formation of my identity as a woman. I would also like to have a sustainable or environmentally friendly job. I want to continue learning about gardening and recycling. All this is not very related to psychology, but psychological therapy is a field that integrates feminism, environmental awareness and respect between people and the environment. I am not yet clear about what kind of people I would like to treat, but I know that respect must be present in any clinical interview I do. I do not want to have an individual view of events, I always want to integrate the conte...

Talking about my pet

Hello everyone, in today's blog I will talk about my only pet. His name is Danger and I adopted him 13 years ago. I remember when my mom found him in the street a very cold winter day. We named him Danger because we wanted a rude appearing dog to protect me when I had to stay alone at my house  but he was more scared than me. In those days, I was eight years old and I had to stay by myself in my house  when my mom went to work. Danger was the only one who would keep me company until my mom get home from work. The first month he was in my house, he ate all the plants we had in the yard: chives, parsley, lettuce and others. But after all we still loved him.  In my family none of us eats meat, but it doesn't matter because Danger loves vegetables, he eats: carrots, Italian squash, celery only if it is seasoned hahaha, tomato, pickle, apple and many other things. He is the most loving dog ever, he loves to sleep with a pillow and to be wrapped up to s...

Blog 3: Favorite music band/ artist

Hello everyone, in this blog I will talk about my favorite artist and band. To be honest, it is very difficult for me to define a genre or artist because I love music, especially rock, funk and jazz. A very important artist for me in the last years is Charly Garcia, he is a very important singer and songwriter in the history of Latin American rock.   In his songs he talks about themes such as: the Argentine dictatorship, love, capitalism, loneliness and others. He founded two rock bands: Sui Generis and Serú Girán , and he was also part of six other bands. One of the songs that I like the most is from the album Peperina , the song is called Salir de la Melancolía , the lyrics give advice to all men telling them that women should not be harassed even with a man’s gaze and they should not tell us what to do, because women should be the way we want to be. It is surprising, because it was written in 1981 and nowdays women are still oppressed. Another song that makes me cr...

Blog 2: The best concert

Hello everyone, in this blog I will talk about one of the best concerts I have ever been to.   In 2018, I went to a Los Tres concert with Chico Trujillo. I spent an incredible time. That day I planned to be with five friends who like jazz as much as I do, their names were: Nicolas, Pollo, Freddy, Rochi and China. When I arrived at the concert spot, there were too many peopl e , I thought I would never be able to meet up with my Friends at the área we agreed, But ended up meeting them. The concert started with the typical song: Amor violento. But when they started to change the rhythm of the melody to a much more moving one, all the people who were there started to dance and jump. I remember that I danced Torre de Babel as I never imagined. People were throwing beers in the air, people were pushing each other, it was too much fun. I remember that at one moment Álvaro Enríquez began to say a few words to the public, and when he finished speaking, the audience raised their ...
